நாளின் உதயம் –ஆக்டேவியா பாஸ் கவிதை  

காற்றின் கரங்களும் இதழ்களும்                                       நீரின் இதயம்

             யூகலிப்டஸ்                                        மேகங்களின் முகாம்திடல்                                                நாளும் பிறக்கும் உயிர்                                                 ஒவ்வொரு உயிரிலும் பிறந்த மரணம்

நான் கண்களைக் கசக்குகிறேன்:                                    

வானம் நிலத்தில் நடக்கிறது

Hands and lips of wind                                                                                                                      

heart of water                                                                                                                                                              

                            Eucalyptus                                                                                                                                 

campground of the clouds                                                                                                                       the life that is born everyday                                                                                                                     the death that is born every life

I rub my eyes:                                                                                                                                             the sky walks the land
